"Wine-making tour" is a history of winemaking on the Crimean Land and South Ukraine."

This tour will make you familiar with the history of winemaking in the Crimea from the time immemorial till present days.Having visited the ancient Greek city of Chersonesus of Tauride known for its worshipping of the God of wine Dionisus you will come to know secrets of wine production of the antique world. You will get impression about the local winemaking traditions while visiting the winery at Inkerman, a new town of Sevastopol.

Further on you are invited for an unforgettable journey along the South Coast, a historical center of wine-making in the Crimea: wine-tasting halls at Massandra and Livadia palace, wine cellars of the Scientific Research Institute of Wine-Making and Grape-Growing "Magarach", visit to the unique store-house of wines having been stored since 1775. You will be able to appreciate a great variety of wines recognized internationally and awarded two Grand Prix Cups, gold medals at the international Wine Contests (including the famous White Muscat of the Red Stone and unique sherries).

The journey will go on in the eastern part of the Crimea known as the place of birth of the "big Russian wine" which is associated with the name of the Russian prince Golitsyn. You will visit the plant of sparkling wines "New World" awarded Grand Prix at the Paris Contest in 1900...

The heroic city of Sevastopol and exotica of the South Coast, "the land of blue mountains" Koktebel and heavenly nooks of the New World including wine-tasting of 50 varieties of the best collection wines will make your tour bright and unforgettable. Massandra vintage wines are internationally recognized and were awarded at many international contests for their superb and harmonious taste with 128 gold and silver medals and two Grand Prix.

1st day Arrival Kiev. Sightseeing. Visit Kiev`s plant of sparkling wines "STOLICHNIY". Night transfer to Odessa by fast regular train or privat saloon car (join regular train).

2nd day Arr. Odessa. Bus Sightseeing.Accomodation hotel "Chornoye More" (Black Sea) ***. Visit plant of sparkling wine and brandy "Shustov" (founded in 1856 ). Overnight in hotel.

3d day Boat tour, Sightseeing Odessa and Black Sea coast. Bus transfer and visit winery "SHABO" – the bigest wine farm in Odessa region. Night transfer to Crimea peninsula by regular train, first class compartment.

4th day Meeting in Sevastopol.
City tour: Count Landing stage, Monument to the Scuttled Ships, optional - panorama"Defence of Sevastopol 1854-55".
Sea voyage to Inkerman along the Big Sevastopol Bay. Visit to the Inkerman Plant of Vintage Wines. Acquaintance with the technology of production. Wine-tasting.
Visit to the monastery of St. Clement and the medieval cave fortress of Calamita. Chersonesus museum, survey of excavations. Accommodation at the hotel in Sevastopol.

5th day Breakfast. Departure from the hotel.
Driving through the Balaklava valley, acquaitance with the vineyards of the Golden Gorge company.
Arrival in Alupka. Visit to the palace and the park of Count Vorontsov, a founder of the wine-making in the Crimea in the first half of the XIX century. Arrival in Yalta. Accommodation at the hotel "Oreanda". Visit to the shops and laboratories of the Scientific-Research Institute of Wine-Making and Grape-Growing "Magarach", acquaitance with the technology of production. Wine-tasting. Lodging at night in Yalta.

6th day Breakfast. Visit of the wine cellars of Massandra Winery of Vintage Wines. Wine-tasting. Visit to the Nikitskty Botanical Garden. Arrival to Livadia , a former summer residence of Nicholas II. Lunch at the "Czar's Cuisine" restaurant. Optional: visit to the Livadia palace , a place of the Yalta Conference in February 1945.
Transfer to the Swallow's Nest (in fine weather a sea voyage is possible).
Survey of the miniature castle, an architectural emblem of the Crimea.
Lodging at night in Yalta.

7th day Breakfast. Transfer to Soudak. Survey of the Genoese Fortress at Soudak.Transfer to the settlement of New World , a centre of wine-making of the Eastern Crimea. Visit to the house-museum of prince Golytsin. Survey of the picturesque Golytsin's grottos. Visit to the Winery of Sparkling Wines "the New World". Wine-tasting of several sorts of the New World champagne. Transfer to Simferopol. Night transfer to Kiev by regular train.

8th day Arrival Kiev. End of tour.

7.11 - arrival in Kiev. Sightseeing, Visit the brewery "Obolon". Accommodation train-hotel "Dzherelo" Welcome dinner

8.11 - Sightseeing Lvov. Visit the Lvov brewery with beer tasting. Overnight transfer to Odessa

9.11 - Sightseeing. Visit the Odessa brewery Efes Ukraine" (former "Tchernomor"). Excursion and wine-tasting at the Institute of wine-making. Overnight transfer to Nikolaev

10.11 - Sightseeing with visit the "Yantar" brewery. Lunch and beer tasting at the brewery's restaurant. Overnight transfer to Simpheropol

11.11 - Visit the Simpheropol brewery. Check-out at the train-hotel for the three-day programme "Magic Crimea Wines", a bus tour along the southern coast of Crimea

12.11 - Visit the wine cellars of Massandra vinery of Vintage (wine tasting). Visit the Nikitskiy Botanical Garden. Transfer to Livadia palace, the former summer residence of Nikolay II. Lunch at the "Czar's Cuisine" restaurant

13.11 - Transfer to Sudak. Survey the Genoese Fortress. Transfer to the settlement "New World", the centre of wine-making in the Eastern Crimea. Sightseeing with visit museums. Tasting different sorts of the famouse sparkling wines made by "New World". Return to train-hotel. Overnight transfer to Zaporozie

14.11 - Sightseeing with visit the "Slavootich" brewery, beer tasting. Visit Khortits island, show of Cossak theatre (with horse riding). Overnight transfer to Kharkov.

15.11 - Sightseeing with visit the "Rogan" brewery, beer tasting at the brewery's restaurant. Farewell dinner aboard the train-hotel. Overnight transfer to Kiev

16.11 - Arrival in Kiev. Check-out. Individual departure home.
