"INVESTIGATION OF THE BIRDS PARADISE-BIRDWATCHING TOUR IN THE UKRAINE POLESIER ALONG THE PRIPYAT RIVER"

Discover for yourself the unique preserve In Europe - the Ukraine Polesier which Is used to be compared with the the Amazonka  in the South America. While traveling with a trip In Ukraine you will appear to be surrounded with wild nature - Impenetrable -forests, forest rivers and mires of the North-East Ukraine. It Is the real paradise for the birds which are now Included In the Red Book and never can be found In Europe. You will have a chance to listen to their songs, watch their life and take photos of their nests. Transfers, overnlghts and meals are onboard the "Dzherelo" train-hotel. The group is being assisted by consultants-ornithologists of the Ukraine Academy of Sciences who propose Interesting lectures/ meetings and culture programme In Kiev and Lvov.

Day 1 – The group arrives in Kiev. Bus sightseeing. Accommodation regular train Overnight transfer Klev-Korosten-Sarny-Doobrovltzy station

Day 2 - Bus transfer to the Perebrody village. Ornithological excursion. Overnight In tents or forest house. The regions to the East of the Perebrody village are the remotest depths of Ukraine which have been preserved In their original state. Here we have the greatest Ukralne and Belorus mire systems In Europe. Their territory Is over 400 sq.m.In the days  of the Soviet Union this territory was used as a firing ground. This Is one of the . most nonlnvestlgated regions In Europe as from the zoological and ornithological points of view. Here one can find nature ecosystems - no land-reclamations/ no mass timber purchasing took place. This region Is the place for the nesting of more than 5 Globally Threatened Species of Birds. Among them Ferrugiinous Duck, Spotted Eagle, Corncrake,Great Snipe, Aquatic Warbler. Besides this It Is the place for nesting such birs as White-tailed Eagle, Eagle Owl,. Great Grey Owl, Crane, Short-toed Eagle, Black  Stork. These species are Included In the Red Books of Ukraine and Belorus. During the excursions It Is possible to see the birds Inhabiting open mires/ forest-covered Islands among mires and lakes which are used for fish breeding. Here one can watch the nest of White-tailed Eagle. The nest takes place on a great alder among mires. It is possible to visit a small settlement of Aquatic Warblers on carex mires, the settlemen of Black Terns. On the lakes for fish breeding one can listen to Bitterns, watch  Goldeneyes. These regions are inhabited, with many different species of forest and waterflow birds.

Day 3 - Transfer to the Cheretyany  region with lakes for fish feeding, birdswatching, overnight in tent camp. During excursions in the region of the Cheretyany mires one can see the bird inhabiting this region, watch the Ferruginous Ducks,Cormorats, Goldeneyes, the settlements  of White-winged Black Terns and other water  birds. In suroundings of lakes the unbounded lands of virgin mires are spread. Of a special interest is an excursion into the  depths of lakes - the path follows to the hills covered with high size forests. Side by side  you can see a nest of White-tailed Eagle, on the forest's edges one can meet Black Grouse, on lakes the Cranes are nesting. In the vicinity of mires Black Storks are nesting; one can meet Citrine Wagtail. In forests very often can be met White-backed Woodpeckers and a mass of other forest species.

Day 4 - Rafting by  boats  along the Gorin river.  Overnight transfer to the Manevitchy villige. The Gorin   river's   valley   in   this   region  is practically not changed as a result of human activity. The water-meadows  are  full of high grasses,  mires, lakes and former  river-beds. The  age-old oaks spread among meadows there are a lot of White Storks' nests;this region has a great number of Corncrakes; the meadows are the places for feeding of Black Storks, Short-toed, Lesser Spotted Eagles. In the rivers Common Terns  and Little Terns are hunting. In this part of the Goriny 1-2 couples of Oystercatchers are nesting.

Day 5 - Excursion  to the Stir river's valley. Overnight in tent camp.In the part of the river to visit there are different biological swamps - forest, meadow and mire. The part of the river bed with a great sedge mire is of special interest. Here there is the unique settlement of Aquatic Warblers  - in the evening hours one can see  and listern  to the songs of dozens birds. In the same bio swamps there are  nests of a few dozens of Corncrakes' couples.

Day 6 – Excursion to the region of Coza mire.Excursion to the swamped forests and mires to the North of Manevitchy.This region is full of nests of many species of forest and-mire' s birds. In particular, only 10 species  of wild birds can be seen during the excursion. The visit to the nests of Spotted Eagle and Short-toed Eagle.

Day 7 – Continuing of birdswatching. Overnight transfer to Kiev.

Da? 8 - Arrival in Kiev. Visit to the zoological museum of the Ukraine Academy of Sciencies. Meeting' with the scientists-ornithologists. Furchet. Transfer to airport. End of the tour.

The period of the tour operation-the period of the birds' nesting May, June.
